A Story & An Honor!

Happy Thursday everyone!

R-Chee and I cannot wait to hear about what you did for the 4th! :)

Little R-Chee is still in a food coma from all the wallymelon and BBQ he ate yesterday so I thought I would share a couple of neat things with you today.

The first one was a wonderful surprise and honor to be mentioned last week on the Lion Brand Yarn Blog!

Our Circles Table Runner that we made from Lion Cotton and their generous FREE washcloth pattern was featured on a FUN Summertime Project post!

The second neat thing is a New "About Page" on Etsy!

They just created a new easy to fill out page for artists to tell their stories about how they started their creative journies!

I really enjoyed sharing my story of how Pug Notes came to be!

Angel Emmitt & R-Chee always bring me the the most wonderful smiles, friends and inspirations that just fill my heart with JOY!

It just spills onto whatever I am making!

New Moo Mini Cards & Holder

Happy Monday everyone!

Emmitt & I are so excited!

I just made a whole new batch of mini Moo Cards to be able to carry around a smaller business card with me even when I do not have my purse with me.

As you may remember from earlier posts that I love mini Moo Cards and include them as care instructions for every sweater vest.

Well, the other day, I thought of another way I could use them... as mini business cards.

I have regular sized business cards for both Pug Notes & Dog Art Studio that I love, but I do not always have them with me like when I am at the gym.

I also do not have always have pockets in my gym shorts, but I do have my car keys with me, so I put the two ideas together and viola! Mini Moo business cards!

Ta da!

This is the first card that I have made that has both of my websites and Etsy Store info all in one place.

I was so excited to see that Moo now has cool keychain cases in lots of colors for only $5!

I have found they are extremely handy and have given out a bunch already!

Art Mart ~ Boulder, CO ~ Grand Re-Opening

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am so excited to announce that Art Mart has moved to its new location on Pearl Street and is now open for business.

After a 4 month closure, our Pug Notes Booth is now open too!



Emmitt and I are so excited for them!

The new Art Mart Store is fantastic!

If you visit Pearl Street in Boulder, CO stop in and check out all of the wonderful art created by local artists.

Melanie and I are so honored to have our art included in such a wonderful store!

We are off in a few days to San Diego and Seattle to show our bear and pug art together on the road!

We are so excited!

New Mini Moo Cards!

Happy Monday everyone!

I am so excited!

Look what just arrived in the mail...

My new set of Mini Moo Cards!

They are wonderful two-sided cards that I include in every sweater vest package.

The front side shows examples of dogs in their sweater vests and the back has the size and washing instructions.

I have been receiving so many wonderful photos that I had to make a new set.

You can also see the first set of cards I made last month. :)

Mini Moo Cards ~ Small Card - Big Tool

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited that my new Mini Moo Cards just arrived.

I created them to attach to each dog sweater vest to show the size and to provide the care instructions.

I made 9 different card fronts and then all of them have the same info on the back.

I love how they turned out and they were so fun to make. I have admired all of the cards I have seen my friends make and now I have some of my own to share. :)

The high quality of the printed image, thick card stock and double-sided printing make them a very unique and useful tool for sharing information.

Emmitt was so excited when they arrived that he put on his sweater vest and started singing and popping wheelies!

What a ham!

I think some of his song and dance was also to celebrate the release of 2 new products I am working on.

I cannot wait to show them to you next week!

Emmitt's Dog Cookie Review ~ Oscar's Gourmet

I got to taste some dog cookies from ~ Oscar's Gourmet!

Look at all the yummy cookies that were packaged so nicely! What a great presentation!

and the cookies were delicious!

I give Oscar's Gourmet a 4 paws up on taste, presentation and service!

Hi everyone!

I just found out about the neatest thing on Facebook since personalized Urls.

It is called Facebook Lite. It is Facebook but in a more simple layout.

They even have a fan page you can join.

If you try it, let me know what you think. :)

Emmitt heard the word "lite" and got worried!

He thought I was putting him on a diet.

Well, this is what he had to say about that!

I had to give him a blueberry cookie just to calm him down! :)

Marketing Idea - Bookmarks

I had a new marketing idea last week that I wanted to share with you.

One of my wonderful customers emailed me to see if I could make bookmarks for her to buy and handout to children when she and her pug read to them through their therapy work.

I thought what a wonderful idea and did a little research. My favorite online printer, VistaPrint, where I get all of my business cards and postcards made does not make bookmarks. So, I found another online printer, Overnight Prints, that I never knew about. Their prices are great and the ordering process was easy.

I asked my customer if I could put my company information on the back and send her a large quantity for free to hand out. She was thrilled and so am I because now I have a new marketing piece to handout that is fun and functional!

Cool Gadgets for Etsy & Facebook

Have you ever wondered if you made it to the Etsy featured gallery and missed it?

Well, I just found the coolest website that shows you if you have been featured on Etsy's home page when you were not looking! It is called Craft Cult and so fun to use!

Just type your username into the search box and it will give you all of your latest stats as well as let you know if you have been featured on Etsy's home page recently.

Another great thing that just rolled out for Facebook's personal pages and fan pages is customizable URLs! No more clunky links! Yay!

Etsy ~ Artfire ~ 1000 Markets ~ Zibbet

I have been excited to see all of the new ways people are showcasing and marketing their artwork.

I just love that social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter as well as online handmade communities such as Etsy and Artfire have brought people together from all over the world.

People often ask me if I think it is worthwhile opening shops on sites like Etsy, Artfire, 1000 Markets and Zibbet. I say... why not? It is an easy, cost effective way to meet people who may not find your website or blog except through these great venues.

I know whenever I find a new site, I search on 'Pug' to see what appears. I am always excited to collect new pug art!

I also find it exciting to be a part of a growing community and company as it builds and creates its success.
