The Mother Bear Project ~ New Striped Bear & Sightings ~ 2015

Happy Monday everyone!

R-Chee & I have been having so much FUN making more teddy bears to donate to The Mother Bear Project!

I have been making bears for them for over 6 years and everyone of them is a joy to make!

No two ever come out the same.

Each one has his or her own personality! :)

I love seeing who pops to life every time I make one!

They bring love and smiles to children in Africa and I cannot wait to share this new batch with them!

R-Chee & I LOVE The Mother Bear Project!

Please visit their website to learn more!

We just finished the first of many bears we have planned for 2015.

He is bright and happy and full of sunshine for you!

He and R-Chee are holding a team meeting this morning to plan for his travels across the sea to meet his new forever child!

Let's tune in to see what they are talking about!

Hi Archie!

My name is Sonny and I am so excited to live in Africa with my new forever family!

Africa is a magical place and I have a lot to learn!

My new little boy or girl will love me and teach me lots of things!

I plan on learning everything I need to know by opening my ears to hear all the sounds around me!

Breathing in deeply with my nose to smell the air surrounding me!

...and use my mouth to laugh, smile & taste all the wonderful flavors served to me!

It will be a wonderful adventure and I will report back and share my adventures with all of you like the other bears before me!

Let's meet a few of those special bears we made in 2014 now!

They all went to Botswana to meet their forever children!

Here is my 1st cousin, Arty, who is also very stylish & is wearing a striped shirt like me!

You can meet him here in the post you wrote about him last year!

...and we love our 3 groovy retro cousins who found beautiful little boys and girls to play with too!

...and who could forget Super Bear?

He landed in Botswana and made this little boy feel invincible by the power of LOVE! :)

You sent him and all the other children all your LOVE with each bear you helped inspire your mom to make!

You are a very special pug, R-Chee with a very special and loving heart and I promise to report back from Africa and share my adventures with you one day soon!

Right now, your mom is making a brother for me to travel with and I will introduce you to him in the days to come so you can see us both off together!

Meet Tip Toe Teddy!

Happy Friday everyone!

R-Chee & I had so much FUN making a new collage this past weekend that we made another one to share with you!

After our new friend appeared before our eyes & we heard him whisper his name to us!

"Tip Toe Teddy"

Wax Crayons, Ink & Collage on paper

Melissa Langer ~ 2015

He was so FUN & Easy to make!

To create him...
I lightly painted a coat of gesso on a junk mail postcard mailer and let some of the background still show through.

After the gesso dried, I painted a light wash of watercolor over the gesso to add some color and let it pool to form water stained blobs to find a character in to bring out.

After turning the page this way and that to create some interesting shapes, I let it dry and pulled out my pencil and found a little dog to color in!

I pulled out my Neocolor 1 & 2 Wax crayons and started coloring him in.

He started to come to life and I finished his features with a bit of outlining with a black ink permanent marker.

The final step was to get out my old magazines and paste and cut out letters to form a message he was whispering from his heart to me...

"Tip Toe"

Tip Toe Teddy likes to Tip Toe everywhere he goes!

It is FUN to Tip Toe through the Tulips!

Spring is coming!

We can all feel, smell, hear and see it popping up all around us!

Let's go play in the sunshine this weekend!

How will you celebrate the Spring weather?

Please leave us a note and let us know!

We cannot wait to hear all about it!

March In The Bummlies ~ Over the Pond and Through the Woods ~ Off to the UK We Go!

Happy Friday everyone!

Weeeeee!

The Bummlies are so excited!

They have been flying out of the Pug Notes Studio to their new homes all over the world!

R-Chee & I are so excited to share photos with you from the wonderful forever families who they joined with glee!

Fuji just arrived in the UK to live with Elliot, his Chi-Chi sister Dip and their wonderful mum, Lynne.

LOL!

It seems there might be a little dispute on who Fuji belongs to!

I think Lynne wanted Fuji for her wonderful teddy bear collection but the chi chi's have another idea for him!

How Cute! :)

The Bummlies are giggling & chatting up a storm in my sewing room now waiting to see who gets to fly somewhere next!

Several have made their way as far as the UK and also here to both ends of the USA to CA, OR and CT just this week. :)

I love making Bummlies for you and new ones are popping into the shop all the time!

Yours is jumping up and down and giggling and cannot wait to meet you!

Come and adopt one today!

They are smiling at you in my Etsy Shop as we speak ...
you can see them all 24/7 right here!

They are filled with joy (not messy stuffing :)) and ready to ship today!

Meet Bear Bummlie Maple!

She has safely landed in OR to live with our friend Tweedles!

Tweedles loves cuddling and playing with her new Bummlie ~ Maple ~ outside in her magical backyard and inside in her warm and loving home!

Meet Bear Bummlie Oliver!

Teddy LOVES him!

He is having so much FUN teaching him new tricks and working out with him!

Here he is doing crunches!

...and learning how to do head stands!

and then the cool down part of their workout...

He is a perfect head rest for Teddy!

ZZZzzzzzzzz

and now after a great workout it is Nap Time for both Teddy & Oliver!

Each Bear Bummlie sends the message of LOVE both from his front chest and his back "bum"! :)

Handmade of soft fleece, a solid piece of terry cloth stuffing, thread and a lot of LOVE...

Each Bear Bummlie is unique & the perfect buddy for both dogs and kids!

They are machine washable and if opened by your 4 footed kid, they will not leave stuffing everywhere since they are safely stuffed with a terry cloth towel section that is one solid, safe piece that makes your Bear Bummlie even more huggable!

They are approximately 10" high from tip of ears to toes and 8 " across from paw to paw.

I happily cut, sew, hand embroider and stuff each doll.

They are flying out of the shop but more are moving in for you to enjoy too!

The Bummlie Family is growing and would love to become a member of yours today!

They multiply like magic with LOVE and cannot wait to meet you!
