Snow Day = Sew Day!

This past Thursday, we actually got measurable snow for the first time this winter in Boulder, CO!

It was the blizzard of 2009, and we got about 16 inches in about 8 or so hours. :)

So what do I do when I am snowed in? I sew up a storm!

I made piles of pug dolls for my Etsy shop and the two shows I will be traveling to in May to San Diego and Seattle.

You may wonder where Emmitt is in all of these pictures.

Well, I asked him to come outside and take some snow pictures.

and this is the reaction I got!

= No Emmitt in the snow pics this year. Ha! :)

With all of the snow, sewing and pug screaming around here, I have been a little behind in visiting all of your blogs. Sorry about that, but I will be by this weekend to catch up. :)
Happy Saturday everyone!

I don't blame Emmitt for not wanting to go out in all that snow!! I'd stay inside where it's nice and toasty, too! I can't believe how much snow you guys have! It's been in the 70s here in AZ.

Your pug dolls are so cute. I love the one I have. You are so talented and awesome.

The snow is very pretty, but we are ready for spring! The weather people have been talking about that system that gave you the snow moving in here to Indiana and starting with rain today but changing to snow overnight tonight :-b I don't blame Emmitt for not wanting to go out there either! Even just a few inches is too deep for pugs!
Pug hugs and kisses!

Hi - I'm a newbie-blogger-wanna-be. Came across your blog and was inspired to make one more pathetic attempt at my blogging my own wintery pics. I mentioned you in my blog, so I just wanted to let you know. If you promise not to laugh too hard, you're welcome to go check it out! Don't you think sunlight and snow are a wonderful, magical combination? Great blog. I'm following! Janet

Haha Emmitt is right. I wouldn´t go outside either.......
What a snow! And I am complaining that Spring takes so long......
Well you have used your time nicely.
I have been washing ironing and studying all day and am all sulky now.......
Tomorrow I will have an exam again, then it is over.
They expect nice weather from Wednesday but Thursday I have to go to Montreal, probably no Spring there either.
have a nice weekend!

Keep the snow! I don't blame Emmitt.

I have the exact sewing machine! How funny!

I should have been sewing today, but too nice outside, so that's where I worked!

That Emmitt is a smart boy. He's staying inside the warm house. You've been working up a storm. Very impressive.

Hi Melissa and Emmitt,
I think at this point your thinking green would be a nice color- not white.
I don;t balme Emmitt either for not wanted to be a part of the snow. I only do snow if I have to.
You really did sew up a storm- hopefully a sunny storm will come.
love

We had a crazy, snowy winter here in the northeast, and then it all stopped. Being a teacher, I usually look forward to at least 1 snow day in March - nothing! But the little bits of spring we are seeing now are more than welcome. I'm with you Emmitt, stay inside and keep warm.
Hugs,
Roscoe

Well, we feel really sorry for you, but we don't want to trade places with you. Mom was ironing her fabrics for quite a while Saturday. She is gearing up for some serious sewing.

Hope the snow melts soon.
