Today is Tomato Harvest Day!
My dad grew the most delicious tomatoes this year and created a bumper crop of everything from cherry to beefsteak!
Yummy!
He says there are so many that he will have to make tomato sauce today just so that they will not spoil!
I get to choose whether the sauce will be Sweet or Spicy!

Hmmmmm....
Which should I choose?
Please leave me a note and tell me which one you would like!
I will put in the order and my dad will make us a pizza, chili, spagetti and mini meatloaves while we go and play outside in the leaves!
What a delicious day we will have!

Oh, how the Momster would love some of those tomatoes. In the off season, she always busy the tomatoes on the vine - the expensive ones - but for some reason they are not very good at all now.
Archie, a little sweetness and a little spice - that's what makes life so nice.

I say a little of both - sweet and spicy! Our tomatoes didn't do so well this year. We had lots of green ones, but they never turned red.

Here in the Furtado house, we like our tomato bases and sauces a bit sweet. My mom and I make an amazing chili that has a bit of a spicy bite beneath the sweeter flavor. Yum! I will have to send the recipe to you sometime!
