Gotta Have Art...

I had to share some the art I have been collecting in recent days...

Look how wonderful!

Here are two sets of ceramic buttons handmade by my friend Tara Ross in Seattle. I absolutely adore her work. Please check out her etsy store and blog. You will be so glad that you did!

Here are two fabrics I fell in love with on etsy and had to get them. I am sure they will be made into a journal in the coming weeks! Etsy is a wonderful place to find thousands of fabrics that I never see in the stores. I like to buy fat quarters so that I can have enough for a project, but then have room to keep buying more! :) I purchased these from a store called Uberstitch and they were wonderful to work with.

Mr. Pogy

Look at these amazing one of a kind Bears created by the incredibly talented Peng Peng.

She creates each work of art by hand and sells them all over the world.

As you all know, Melanie collects teddy bears and this is the second year in a row that I got her a Peng Peng creation for our birthday. Mr. Pogy just arrived and he came from a wonderful family of other Buddah Bears. It was hard to choose which one!

Here is Mr. Blix from last year...

Mr. Blix

She also creates collectible kitties, ellies and sock monkeys. Please check out her website, blog and etsy store!

What new things have you found lately that put a spring in your step? Please leave a comment and/or a link to let me know!

Hi Melissa, I love Etsy not only for all the fun shopping but the concept of being able to sell handcrafted items on a small, personal scale is wonderful. I love shopping from people like you, where you can see the love in every item.
That makes me happy!

Absolutely wonderful finds! ETSY is fantastic! That fabric is beautiful - thanks for the link. The bears are way too cute. One of the things I found this morning was a creative designer of "zipper jewelry"...you'll have to check it out.

Have a Happy Thursday!
