Friday Funnies ~ Archie The Cherry Tomato

Happy Friday everyone!

It is me...

Archie!

I have a question for you...

Now, be honest...

Do I look like a cherry tomato in my new sweater vest?

I ask because my momma and auntie Melanie said I look sweet enough to eat!
I think they taste pretty good too!

Especially my Auntie Melanie!

I love her!

She tickles my tummy!

Plays with me!

Zoooooooom!

... and gives me treats for being such a good boy!

... and my momma loves me too!

I guess it is ok if I look like a cherry tomato.

It makes mom and Aunty Melly smile!

Tee hee!

I wonder what adventures they have planned for me this weekend! :)

What fun things are you doing?

Please leave me a note and tell me all about your plans!

I cannot wait to hear!

Super Pug Powers & The Magic Tiger

Hi everyone!

It is me...

Archie!

My magic tiger and I have been playing all day.

He is a very special tiger that makes all of our wishes come true!

Every night my dad fills his tummy with warm water and puts him in my crate to keep me warm, safe and comfy where I dream about all of the wonderful adventures I will have with you!

I think my magic tiger gets his super powers from the pug in the moon!

He is a very wise tiger and whispers stories in my ear ...

... in between our wrestling matches!

Pin!

1 - 2 - 3

I win this match!

Heeee!

I am getting bigger and stronger everyday!

My momma cannot believe her eyes every morning when she opens my crate.

She says I grow every night while I sleep!

Momma thinks I am growing so fast because I am such a good eater ...

but I know it is because of my Magic Tiger!

What do you think?

Please leave me a note and let me know!

Mother Bear Sighting in Nambia!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I am jumping for joy over here!

Amy from The Mother Bear Project just sent me this wonderful photo of one of Emmitt's 14 Birthday Bears!
It was spotted in Nambia being loved by this beautiful little girl!

Angel Emmitt appears everyday to make me and Archie Pants smile and clap our hands & paws with glee!

Here is the little bear with his buddies celebrating Emmitt's 14th birthday with him last August.
It was a magical day that lives forever through all of us and these little bears!

Archie cannot wait to help me make his very first bear as he is an *Unofficial* Official Mother Bear Ambassador in training. :)

Angel Emmitt is guiding his paws everyday and soon Archie will also make little children happy all over the world.

Please visit The Mother Bear Project to learn all about it and how you can help crochet, knit or sponsor bears too!

New Pug Yarn Painting ~ Come Play with Me!

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday!

I am so excited to show you my first yarn painting of 2011!

This little puggy wants to play with you!

Yarn paintings are so fun to make!

You can use any photo or drawing that makes you happy.

The key is to choose one that can be enlarged enough that you can fill in the shapes with your favorite yarns or threads.

I have found that if the shapes are too small to work with, it can be frustrating to get the yarn to fill in the way you would like.

I documented each step of how I made it for you to see...

First, I glued a print of my pug painting ~ design A18 ~ onto a 8 x 10 hemlock wood board with a glue stick and burnished it down with my bone folder to make sure there were not any bubbles or loose edges.

Now the fun begins!

All you do is draw a bead of glue of where you would like to place your piece of yarn and lay and press your yarn on top of it.

I used a bone folder to postion the yarn and lightly press it into the glue.

(I just use elmer's gel glue. It is water soluable so my tools are always easy to clean and it dries clear.)

Then I take my sharp scissors with pointy ends and snip the yarn to size.

Each piece is layed tightly against the previous one and before you know it, your design is filled in.

Feel free to change the textures and weights of the yarns in your painting and the directions you glue them in to add interest.

Just have fun!

The last step I did was to cut little circles out of white craft felt to glue in the center of the eyes.

Ta da!

This happy, playful pug yarn painting is available as note cards and a signed print in my etsy shop.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the process or if you make your own.

I would love to see and share it on the blog!

Friday Funnies ~ Archie's Toy Training Guide

Happy Friday Everyone!

It is me...

Archie!

It has been such a fun & busy week.

I have been hard at work training my toys to learn how listen to me and to be well behaved stuffies.

Ok, Mr. Spaceman ... We are going to play Follow the Leader.

...and um, I'm the Leader!

So do everything I do...

... or this will happen to you! Boy, this toy training is hard work! I'm feelin' kinda sleepy...

Mommmmmmma.... "Up please"

Ahhh there she is!

Time for hugs for me...

But not for you toys!

I have my eyes on you! ;)

Maybe I'll just close them just for a minute.

ZZZZZZZZ

What a great week! What are you doing this weekend?

Please leave me a note and tell me all about it!

I cannot wait to hear!
