The Circle Bobble Square

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited to show you this fun square I found a free pattern for online.

It is called the Circle-Bobble Square.

I love the 3-D effect of the bobble and the wonderfully written pattern that is easy to follow and has wonderful smooth transitions between the shapes.

I am making them for the Knit-A-Square charity for the October theme of using up our scrap yarn.

Here is my yarn for my next square!

Melanie and I are going to an all day basket weaving class on Sunday at our favorite yarn store.

I will take lots of pictures and show you next week what we make!

Heart Squares for Charity

Happy Thursday everyone!

Emmitt and I are having so much fun making these heart squares for Knit-A-Square.

The October 2009 Challenge is to create squares from your scrap yarn. I found two great free patterns that work perfectly. The first of the two patterns are these fun heart squares.

I will show you the second pattern tomorrow and the squares I have made from it so far.

I am so excited to show it to you! It is now my new favorite square pattern to crochet! :)

A New Bobble Sweater ~ Yummy Colors

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited! I just finished another Bobble Sweater for Melanie. :) It is our 41st birthday next week, and I just could not resist making her another one.

I quizzed her on her current favorite colors when we were away on craft weekend and could not wait to get started.

It reminds me of delicious chocolate cupcake with icing!

A perfect birthday sweater don't you think?!

I have also been working on some new squares for the Knit-A-Square Charity October Challenge. The theme is to use up our current stash of yarn which is perfect after all of these sweaters I have been making.

I have lots of little center pull skeins that I have been winding up in all sorts of colors.

I will show you what I have been up to tomorrow. :)

It is called Facebook Lite. It is Facebook but in a more simple layout.

They even have a fan page you can join.

Supporting Charities with Art and Love!

My Mother Bear Project ornaments arrived!

Look how wonderful they are ...

Each one is lovingly hand knit by the founder of the Mother Bear Project, Amy B.

Every dollar raised will be used to ship the thousands of donated handmade bears to Africa.

They are approximately 3 x 4 inches tall and come in either multi or candy striped colors.

I just love mine!

Mother Bear Project Ornaments 2009!

Hi Everyone!

Emmitt here!

I am so excited because my mom just found out a way I can help the Mother Bear Project without even knowing how to crochet or knit!

Amy B., the founder of the Mother Bear Project, has been knitting bear ornaments non-stop for a year to help raise funds to send the bears to Africa.

I just bought 2! One for me and and one for my Corgi cousin, Moe. Actually Momma and Auntie Melanie said they would keep them safe and clean for us by hanging them above doggie level, but we can look at them whenever we want! :)

Here are the bear ornaments and they are only $20 which includes shipping!

You even get to pick whether you want bright colors or candy cane stripe colors.

In other fun crochet news, Momma just got this photo from Knit-A-Square in South Africa that her Lion and Elephant squares made it there safely and will be sewn into dozens of blankets with other wonderful squares to keep the children warm!

Personally, I plan to make mini meatloaves and watch football with my dad.

The Broncos are 5-0 this season!

I have my new sweater on that just happens to be blue and orange just like the Broncos.

See I am cheering already and the game hasn't even started yet!

The Party Animals Auctions for Charity are LIVE!

I am so excited to announce that the auctions to benefit A Place to Bark animal rescue are now Live!

I am honored to be a part of this wonderful collaboration, Party Animals 2009 , that I first told you about back in July.

"Party Animals features the artwork of 21 different artists from across the country. The proceeds from the sale of this book will directly benefit the animals at A Place To Bark animal rescue. All work was donated by the participating artists and the original pieces will be auctioned off on Ebay in the Fall of 2009. This 43 page, full color book includes reproduced artwork from each artist, information about A Place To Bark animal Rescue, How To's, ways to get involved with helping animals, a dog treat recipe and much more!"

Hi Everyone!

Emmitt here!

I am so excited! My momma finished crocheting my pug sweater!

She made it without a pattern, so don't laugh. :)

Look! I have a pug on my back!

Hopefully, people will not try and feed him and will feed me instead!

The bobbles look delicious don't they?

Well, they are not! Phooey! I tried to lick one. They are full of fiber... mom calls it Wool and not for eating. Darn!

This is me after too much fiber... hahahahahhaha!

Emmitt and the Jolly Green Giant Bear

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday!

Emmitt here to show you the new Mother Bear Project Bear Mom just finished.

This is the bear she started last week on Craft Weekend.

I have to warn you... this guy is huge! Mom used a H hook instead of the G hook and well... after laughing a bit... mom named him the Jolly Green Giant.

Right after she did that, he said "HO HO HO Green Giant!" and then he fed me some peas!

MY favorite food!

Mom... please make me a pea dispensing giant bear too!

More peas Please!

He is almost taller than the pillow! Must be all the veggies!

Isn't he cute!

The kids will love him in Africa!

Here he is giving me a hug!

May I please have some more peas and some carrots too?

I'll even sing for my dinner!

They are handmade from my "Groovy Pugs" Fabric which is also sold in my Etsy store in 3 colors.

Each button is 1" in diameter and would be pefect to sew or glue onto any clothing, bag, dog collar or art project that you would like!The back is metal with a metal loop for sewing on to any project.
