Friday Funnies ~ Hail Yeah! We get to go to Vail!

Happy Friday everyone!

We are reporting today from Vail, CO! :)

Pack your bags because we all get to go to Vail today!

It is beeeautiful and relaxing here!

Dad is taking lots of photos to share with you!

Here is the gondola that takes people up the mountain to bike or hike down!

...and here are the bikes!

After a day of FUN outdoor activities... 

We can do some indoor ones too like shop at the nearby outlet mall!

I do not like to go into the stores but prefer to do a little window shopping since I do not get an allowance to spend.

I am paid for good deeds and behavior in Cheerios and I found out quickly that the stores do not let me buy treats and toys with Cheerios!

What do they know?

Jimmie and I both LOVE them!

That was a FULL day!

I am pooped!

Now we will tuck ourselves in and watch movies together!

I will just rest my eyes before dinner...

..and I will sing for mine!

We are ready for the popcorn before the shows start!

I will just rest my eyes again until they start!

What a magical weekend we are having!

Around the World on Wednesday ~ Fred Goes to Thailand!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am so excited to show you the photos Fred took and that were taken of him in Thailand this Fall!

He went with Mentor Series Treks and had a fabulous time exploring and capturing these images in Bancock, Chaing Mai and Chaing Rai.

I am memorized by all of the faces, places and happenings he experienced in just a few days of exploring!

The people, animals, markets, farms and teas are not only a part of their rich culture, but a work of art in themselves!

Even the elephants paint gorgeous masterpieces right before your eyes! :)

I cannot wait to see what trips and opportunities unfold for him in 2014!

We will have so much FUN exploring the world through his eyes and art.

Monday Memories ~ A Rainbow of Warm & Wooly Houses

 

Happy Monday everyone!

Now that we are home from our road trip into the mountains, I thought it would be FUN to make some Wool Houses to add to the village Melanie and I are making! :)

I got the idea to make these from a memory I have of the rows and rows of beautiful houses my twin sister, Melanie, and I saw when we were in Norway in the early 90's together.

We took a 2 month backpacking trip overseas right when we graduated from college.

It was a magical experience and Mel and I still often talk about all the things we saw in every city we visited.

We stayed in youth hostels and lived out of our packs.  

It was an amazing adventure that we took and now share wonderful memories of together.

I really do find that everything we do, create and share is art from our hearts that we share with each other like warm hugs everyday.

Life is Art... Art is Life!
