Punchneedle ~ Cardinal In Aspen Trees

Happy July 1st!
I have been having so much fun with the new punchneedle kit I purchased at http://www.joanns.com/.

The design is a cardinal sitting in some aspen trees and is red, white and blue. :)

Please click here to see my first punchneedle project and the supplies I purchased to get started.

Here is the front side so far.

and this the the back.

You actually do the punching from the back side and the loops form on the front that you cannot see while working.

I will keep embroidering and show you the final piece when it is done. :)

What indoor & outdoor projects are you working on before the holiday weekend?

I would love to know!

Once again, Melissa you are such a talent and We are so lucky that you choose to share it with us. I have a whole tray of jewelry stuff that I have been working on. Thinking I may share some of it when I play Pay it Forward =)

Good Morning Melissa! This is absolutely lovely! I'll have to show my Mother. She is a cardinal-aholic!
Hmmm... projects outdoors are weeding and keeping everything from drowning around here! Indoors we have large and small knitted teddy bears in the works, another shawl started, learning the "ripple" crochet technique,a hat for Lola, and jewelry galore! Can you tell i like having more than one project at a time going on? hahaha

Great project your working on, it even looks nice from the back!

We're gonna have veggie BBQ with some friends, and of course more landscaping/ gardening.

Have a great 4th!!

Hi Melissa! You are always working on something so cute and creative. I love cardinals - we have lots of them around our house.

I am helping Mom clean the house today in preparation for our 4th of July party. Tomorrow we are shopping for food and cleaning up the yard. I am getting busy just thinking about all the work I have to do!

Hi Melissa
Your project is going to be so beautiful when its done! It must be like magic evolving.
Project- well there is not exactly any of that happening besides the usual mowing and weed eating, but mom is trying to do something for herself- its called taking a walk at least every other night when she gets home, and breathe deep.
How does that sound?
Me? I am going to play with bubbles.
love

Melissa, Paco & I are simply in AWE of your creative abilities! In our house we are working on 'napping' with all the rain, T-storms, more rain, drizzle, mist, downpours, etc. Have a Happy 4th!
