Friday Funnies ~ Archie's Pow Wow with the Alpacas

Happy Friday everyone!
It is me...
Archie!

I just had a very exciting adventure that I cannot wait to share with you!

I have been asking my momma where yarn comes from so she took me on a field trip to Estes Park, CO for their annual Wool Market this year!

I got to sit down with the Alpacas and ask them myself!

They were very friendly and welcomed me with big puggy smiles!

I felt right at home with them!

They told me that the wool is actually made from their coats that they grow and wear in the Winter to stay warm, and then their owners shave in the Spring & Summer to help them stay cool.

The wool yarn is made from the hair they shave off!

The groomers do this to all kinds of fuzzy animals to make lots of different kinds of fibers for people to weave, felt, crochet and knit with!

Here are some of the other types of animals who I met that get haircuts to make pretty fiber for us to play with...

Sheep

Goats

... and Llamas!

We had a magical day up in Estes Park!

The weather was perfect and there was so much for us to see and do!

People were shopping, eating, smiling and learning all about herding doggies and the wooly animals they help protect & take care of.

It turns out that my Corgi Cousin, Moe, is a herding dog!

Here was bred for a very important job and is super smart and busy!

I asked my momma if I was bred to do a cetain job that was important too...

She said Oh YES R-Chee!

Puggies were created as Companion doggies to keep their pawrents company and make them smile and laugh all the time!

We make people happy!

LOVE my job and see...

I think I am pretty good at it too!

Tee Hee!

What is your favorite thing to do?

Please leave me a note and let me know!

I cannot wait to hear all about it!

I cannot believe you got to see all those fuzzy wuzzy animals! Gosh you learned so much!
I hope their furs come back R-Chee, so they can be warm for winters.

R-Chees,, you have many purposes, and one of them is to make me smile and giggle!
