Etsy ~ Artfire ~ 1000 Markets ~ Zibbet

I have been excited to see all of the new ways people are showcasing and marketing their artwork.

I just love that social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter as well as online handmade communities such as Etsy and Artfire have brought people together from all over the world.

People often ask me if I think it is worthwhile opening shops on sites like Etsy, Artfire, 1000 Markets and Zibbet. I say... why not? It is an easy, cost effective way to meet people who may not find your website or blog except through these great venues.

I know whenever I find a new site, I search on 'Pug' to see what appears. I am always excited to collect new pug art!

I also find it exciting to be a part of a growing community and company as it builds and creates its success.

Here are the 4 sites where I have shops...

My Artfire Shop

My 1000 Markets Shop

Although Etsy is my most successful auxillary shop, I find all of the shops to be valuable and easy to set up and operate.

Do you have a Etsy or other type of shop or website? Please post a comment with your Urls so that I can come and see!

I don't have an Etsy yet, but I plan on starting one soon--as soon as I get my basic things put together! I'm going to be doing premade scrapbook pages--for both dogs and humans! I'll let you know when I open. :)

Hi Melissa
"where ever you go we will follow!"
Do you know how we found you in the first place?
Just by typing in PUG

Then I saw all those cute pug faces and I could not stay away.
I had to keep comin back to look at them- such happy faces.

I have shops on Etsy, Dawanda and Zibbet and a 'shop' so to speak on Artfire which I list in but do little with. I worked hard on Etsy for the first 1 1/2 years and have had some success there, but I like the ease of listing and the customizable shop front on Zibbet. Etsy gets the big traffic, but I find it time consuming to use. All in all, I have had some good sales through online venues, with very little outlay.
