Do you make it easy to connect?

Isn't is amazing how the momentum of something fun can bring change so quickly? In just a few months time, I went from thinking "What is Twitter?" to "Ooo! Can I follow this person's Tweets?"

I find myself looking for people's Social Networks to connect to whenever I meet them online or find a new blog.

Sometimes after some digging on someone's blog, I find a link to their Etsy shop or Twitter account, but I usually have to search around and it is almost never on their website.

I realized this weekend that I was not making it as easy as I could for people to connect to me either! If I am looking to find their Facebook page, why wouldn't someone be looking to connect to mine too?

So... besides listing them just on my blogroll, this weekend, I made a Social Networks link on both of my websites, Pug Notes and Dog Art Studio, so people could find all of my networks in one place.

I like these networks so much because I learn so much from other people. It is a fun and fast way to see things people are doing as well as sharing things I am enjoying with the world. I am not sure if anyone is reading them, but I love sending positive messages into the universe. It is exciting!

I also spent sometime redoing my Twitter background after watching Rebecca Collin's Twitter tutorials on her Art Dog Blog. Thank you Rebecca! You are always so inspiring and generous with your knowledge!

How fun!

I have Facebook and Twitter but I hardly use them. Facebook is too village gossipy for me, and I can't be bothered being logged into Twitter to tell people what I'm doing at the moment. :)

But I adore your twitter page! :)

Seeing so many new "poochtraits" popping up on the art blogs is fascinating. I linked here from Nancy to Manon and am glad to have found you. Dogs are great subjects...I just finished mine of Pokey and Taco Belle. Being in Costa Rica is Paradise for finding dog shots in unusual places. I like your work and your pups...stop by and see me

thank you for the Twitter intro! Facebook was a big step for me when I joined a couple of months ago. Now I may have to make the leap to Twitter!

Hi Melissa! what a great idea to connect. I didn't know what Twitter was until I read this post. Still no idea of Linkedin. I need to upgrade my knowledge!

Hi Melissa and Emmitt
I need a private tutor! I am doing good to just log in certain words and have them go to the right spot! My mom and I are envious- of all the wonderful things you have on your page- it just goes on and on. And envious of all the little buttons on people pages too. I guess they are buttons. I push them and it takes me somewhere else. I want some fancy dancy stuff too. But I think maybe I am right brained - or left brained - not sure- so maybe it is not possible. But love your new stuff. Lots to look at!
Hope Emmittpants had a great celebration yesterday
love, love
