Warm from Head to Toe - Gifts Made from the Heart

Happy Thursday everyone!

Melanie and I are having a wonderful time at our art retreat!

For a FUN surprise I made Melanie some goodies to give her while were away in the mountains. :)

Since it is even cooler up in the mountains than in Boulder this time of year, I thought it would be neat to make her a new hat and some cozy slippers to keep her head and feet toasty warm.

I got some beautiful new yarn in her favorite colors from Universal Yarn and used my favorite simple hat pattern to make this FUN project.

It is the same as the one I made for Fred but with a few less rows and a crochet button embellishment to decorate the top!

Then after I finished the hat, I grabbed 2 of my other favorite yarns, Da Vinci & Amazing Yarn from Lion Brand and made her some new slippers!

I loved these so much that I made a pair for myself too!

I will show you mine next week along with some new crochet animals I just finished that will make you smile!
