Marketing Idea - Bookmarks

(Front - watermark not on actual bookmark)

I had a new marketing idea last week that I wanted to share with you.

One of my wonderful customers emailed me to see if I could make bookmarks for her to buy and handout to children when she and her pug read to them through their therapy work.

I thought what a wonderful idea and did a little research. My favorite online printer, VistaPrint, where I get all of my business cards and postcards made does not make bookmarks. So, I found another online printer, Overnight Prints, that I never knew about. Their prices are great and the ordering process was easy.

I asked my customer if I could put my company information on the back and send her a large quantity for free to hand out. She was thrilled and so am I because now I have a new marketing piece to handout that is fun and functional!

(Bookmark - back)

I love getting emails and suggestions from all of you! They all open so many wonderful doors to new exciting ideas and products.

Please contact me anytime with any suggestions, ideas, pug photos for the newsletter, or just to say Hi! Emmitt and I would love to hear from you!

I could not do any of this without you!

Have a super Monday everyone!

I love overnight prints, I think they are the ones who do rounded corners. I will never use vista print again due to the hidden opportunity boxes that cost me 9.99 for over a year on my credit card. So just be careful with them. When you back space to correct some editing on their site, it will automatically check some of those promo boxes that you cannot see because they are below the view line. Anyway, that was what my experience was.

Love your marketing idea, you are so good at marketing.

Hi Melissa & Emmitt! I love the bookmarks! They are so cool and such a great way to advertise. Some people are so smart, aren't they?
Mom always says that you can never have enough bookmarks. So many books, so many bookmarks, so little time!

These are great! Have been doing canvas markers for awhile, but they don't have the groovy back-side that these have.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful idea!

I just bought a book written by Alyson Stanfield (Title: I'd Rather be in the Studio...) and it had a lovely little touch added: A bookmark with her information on it. It looked really nice.

(P.S. Love your art!)

Yes, Melissa. It's a smart idea! Bookmarks don't get thrown out right away as people can understand the purpose.

Maria: Glad you enjoyed your bookmark from me. Thanks so much for the mention! Hopefully Melissa, who I know has my book because I signed it for her in person, also got a bookmark at that event.

I have used bookmarks as a marketing tool for years. They have a much longer life than a business card - often over several books.
