It is such a nice summer day, let's join my mom on one of her favorite things to do...
Let's go on a bike ride!

Ok, here is my mom, Melissa. She will be your tour guide on her favorite route. I never go with her. She says something about me getting us both killed or something silly like that.
Besides she would need to find me a pug helmet and my head is kind of well.... dome shaped. :)
Heee! That is ok! I like to stay home and wait for her to get back. I always greet her with songs, dancing and kisses!
Here we go down the big hill towards Boulder. See the Flatiron mountains ahead?
We are going to turn left at the light and head south.
It is a beautiful sunny day and even the camera phone is taking good pictures. How fun is that?

This field is about 1/2 way on our 11 mile loop.

and here is the turn around point at Marshall Rd. Now all the hills we came down, we go up and all the hills we went up to get here, we go down!
How fun is that? Mom likes that she can just hop on her bike from her driveway and have this safe beautiful route she can ride. She has lived here for 15 years and still cannot believe this is home! We love Colorado!
You may wonder what I am doing while she is off riding... Um... I'm dreaming about lunch of course! Someone has to plan the menus around here!

What a wonderful bike route! We live too much in the city to have a scenic (and not dangerous) bike ride. And there are no mountains in central Indiana!

This weekend my grandparents are coming to visit, then I am going to visit my 2 pug friends!

I'm sure we're not the only ones that think mom needs to put a basket or one of those buggies (like Stubby has) on her bike so YOU can ride too!
You can plan menus while you're riding! Maybe being out in nature will inspire you!

Colorado does look beautiful! Too bad your mom couldn't put you in a papoose thing and take you with her, Emmitt!
Oh Emmitt, your home state is so beautiful! When momma was there last weekend, she just could not stop gawking at the mountains!!!

Who needs exercise when you have a comfy bed like yours, Emmitt? I enjoyed seeing the pretty scenery on your Mom's route.
"a pug helmet"...I love that! I can see Emmitt riding in a basket on your bike with a helmet and goggles on. Wheeeeeee!

Ohh what a lovely bike ride! My mommie likes to bike too, I can't go with her either, stupid mommie.
It has been beautiful here today too - and the weekend is supposed to be nice and cool - lots of long walks planned.

Oh wow, totally great post. I will be sure & share this with Dan. He is big in to the cycling and of course he has been longing to move to Colorado since we visited at election time. Maybe some day we will relocate. We found the coolest little neighborhood full of post modern style new construction in Boulder.

Hi Emmitt! Tell your mom that you have to get a buggy like mine so you can go bike riding. I love my buggy and Mom doesn't mind having me as a passenger. The scenery around your house is spectacular and I'm sure you would like to get out of the house and see it.

No more bike riding for me- i almost kill myself on these hills and curvy roads. Never could understand those bikes with speeds!

I know why you love living there. What a great biking trail! I'm more like Emmitt I'm afraid, used to like to ride a bike though. Maybe I should invest in one again with a big basket to carry my little friends around the neighborhood where I know we will be safe on the sidewalks. A 3 wheeler maybe???

Mom and dad have always wanted to visit Colorado! Everyone we meet says that it's just gorgeous there and it sure looks it from these photos!
