Happy Wednesday everyone!
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful birthday wishes for Archie yesterday!
He had a wonderful day all because of you! :)
He got a bunch of new yummy toys that he cannot wait to show you on Friday!
Today I want to show you a closer view of the new Tunisian Crochet pug doll I made for him.
This is the second project I have created with this new craft I am totally enjoying! Here is the first project I made with all the links to how you can get started too if you would like!
I just love the look of the stitches of the first stitch I have learned so far... the Tunisian Simple Stitch.
The Tunisian Crochet technique is perfect for creating flat work so I made up a pug doll for Archie using Tunisian Crochet for the body and single crochet stitches for all of the limbs, ears, birthday hat and facial features.
I free formed the shapes for all of features and sewed them on after the pug body was complete, sewn and stuffed.
It was so FUN to make it up as I went and watch him come to life!
The glass eyes came all the way from Germany!
Melanie found them on Probear.com!
She just made these two amazing fully jointed mohair bears!
I think they put the perfect final touch to his puggy face and the wonderful bears!
They come in all sorts of sizes and are very affordable!
I just love how he turned out and he was so FUN to make for my Archie!
Happy Birthday little boy!
We are so lucky to have you!
