Friday Funnies ~ I Love the Smell of New Blacktop!

Happy Friday everyone!

 

It is me...

R-Chee!

 

I am so excited!

 

For the whole month of August we have been having huge trucks come into our neighborhood and make lots of noises and smells I have never heard & smelled before!

 

The construction people were even kind enough to put these pee-mail poles all over the sidewalks for me to leave messages on.

 

My pawrents say they are actually No Parking signs... but that doesn't make any sense.

 

Why would you park your butt here and say hello to one passing dog when you could leave a secret message for everyone? :)

Yippeeee!

 

Today is the last day of August and the first day of our newly paved streets in our neighborhood!

 

 

They are so new, I wonder if I am allowed to touch them yet!

 

I do not want to sit on the tar and get stuck!

 

I guess the only way to find out is to slowly lower my butt down on it!

Ooooo!  It is nice and warm and smells kinda... Good!

 

My pawrents tell me they have lived in this neighborhood for 20 years and have never gotten new streets before!

 

They are even more excited than I am! :)

 

How FUN!

 

Nice new streets to walk on!

 

I know I will get to enjoy them as soon as we get back from our little trip to the mountains.

 

My pawrents are taking me to Breckenridge, CO where they got married, on Sept 3rd,17 years ago!

 

I am so excited! :)

 

There will be lots of music, crafts, food and even a rubber duck race down the river that runs through town.

My New Dog Bowl has Bigger Feet than Me!

It is me...

R-Chee!

 

My mom and auntie Melanie have been busy having FUN together!

 

They slipped out the other day while Moe and I were not looking and made us each a new dog bowl at the local pottery shop where you can paint pottery and they fire it for you!

 

Here is the bowl Auntie Melanie made for Moe...

 

 

 

...and here is the bowl my momma painted for me!

 

It has feet that are bigger than mine and a puggy tail!

 

How FUN!

 

They are meeting there again today!

 

I cannot wait to see what they make and I will be sure to show you in just a few days!

Melanie's Circle Afghan!

 

Hi Everyone!

 

Happy Wednesday!

 

I am soooo excited to show you the Circle Afghan Melanie just finished!

 

She made it from the fabulous Free Bullseye Pattern I found on the online magazine Tangled!

 

I LOVE how the blanket turned out! 

 

I am going to have to make one next!

 

I used the Bullseye Circle Pattern to make 2 yellow & orange pillows earlier this Summer and it is so FUN to do!

 

Here are Melanie's circles coming to life!

 

Her stitches and color choices are perfect!

 

 

 

...and here is a sneak peek at her new african flower hexagons she is creating!

 

I cannot wait to see the afghan she makes from them!

 

She is making 109 of them to complete this project!

Friday Funnies ~ Four Seasons of Me

Happy Friday everyone!

It is me...

R-Chee!

I cannot believe how fast a year goes by!

It seems like yesterday when my pawrents brought me home and soon took me on my first walk in the park in the Spring of 2011!

Look what a shrimp I was!

Before I knew it, it was Fall and I had grown into a real big grown up pug!

Then last Winter I got my very own Sweater Vest!

I am so excited because my momma is working on a new collection of colors of sweater vests for all of us and I think one of them has been pulled aside for ME to wear!

... and here we are this Summer which has been the most funnest Summer ever!

I got my very own Pug Cave, meet new pug and frenchie friends, helped my momma with lots of crochet projects and soon they will take me on a Labor Day vacation!

They haven't shared the all details with me yet, but I saw a new bed in the backseat of my dad's car for our little weekend getaway.

I promise I will tell you all about our adventure with lots of stories and photos soon!

Crochet Slippers Gone "Rogue"

Happy Thursday everyone!

Oh I am so excited to show you the new slippers I just made!

I purchased a great slipper pattern on Etsy and then had FUN tweaking it on my own to finish them off with a larger strap, crochet poppy buttons and a higher back to make them more "me".

I used yarn from my stash to make them which feels doubly productive.  Summer time projects are the best time for me to make room for all of the new yarn I want to try!

Ta Da!

I just LOVE them and cannot wait to make more!

R-Chee was there supervising my progress through every step of the way.

This is what they looked like after I finished the basic pattern before going "Rogue" and adding my Melissa Embellishments! :)

I do not need straps or flower buttons on mine momma!

I just need 4 plain ones!

What do you think about lime green?

Can I have 4 lime green ones?

Can you put pointy toes on mine so they can be elfy?

I want to match the magical gnome Auntie Melanie made for us!

I would love to help keep your pug feeties warm this Winter with some magical elfy slippers.

I just ordered some new GreenTea merino/cashmere superwash yarn that is coming in the mail from Lion Brand any day now.
