Happy Friday everyone!

It is me...

Jimmie!

The last time I was here I got to tell you about the changes I have been making now that I am molting out my baby feathers and growing in my new adult plumage!

Here I am hard at work losing my striped crown and growing in pin feathers that will bloom into a crown on top of my head.

I can feel them growing in now!

See!

A new pin feather just appeared where a striped feather popped out! :)

...and here I am about a week later!

Oh MY Gosh!

I am BLONDE!

How FUN is that? :)

My momma LOVES my new yellow face and brighter bluish/purple tummy!

Warm Hearts Wednesday ~ Workin' It!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

R-Chee and I are tickled pink to have received so many wonderful photos this week from our warm hearted friends working happily in their warm & toasty Sweater Vests!

Above, the beautiful Scarlet is working in the office with her wonderful mom Meredith in RI while Tweedles is helping her moms in out in the backyard at her house in OR!

She is busy helping them garden and warm up the pretty flowers that think it is time to bloom already!

Daisy is helping her mom shop in WA while Macaroni is helping this nice lady check out his mom's purchases at the local hardware store in CA.

Phew!

That sure was a good day's work everyone and now Macaroni is showing us he is ready for a good night's sleep! :)

A Magical Monday ~ Trekking through our little Forest!

Happy Monday everyone!

It is me...

R-Chee!

We had so much FUN this weekend!

We went to magical places together without even leaving the house!

How did we do that you ask?

With our imaginations, hearts & smiling with all of you!

We created our own magical forest to explore and enjoy together!

Before going on our hike through the special forest we knew we would need the perfect toasty Sweater Vest to keep us warm so momma made me this new Pooh Bear inspired vest since he lives in a magical forest with all of his friends and would guide us every step of the way.

Friday Funnies ~ Sushi is Served!

Hi Everyone!

R-Chee

Happy Friday!

I am just here patiently waiting for my Auntie Melly to arrive!

She is the best aunt ever!

She just called and told me that she was out shopping and found the perfect surprise for me.

I know she will be here any second to come and play with me, but it feels like it is taking forever!

I just cannot wait!

Archie's Kitchen ~ Banana Flap Jacks

Happy Wednesday everyone!

It is me...

R-Chee!

I have been cooking up a storm this morning and have a pile of sweet & healthy flap jacks for you to enjoy today!

They are super yummy & easy to make for everyone in the family!

Banana Flap Jacks

INGREDIENTS:

2 ripe bananas

2 eggs

½ cup flour

Cooking spray oil

Griddle

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Mush bananas

2. Add eggs and flour

3. Mix into smooth batter with some banana lumps

4. Cook on med or med low on griddle sprayed with cooking spray oil

For your human guests please feel free to top with cinnamon sugar, butter, honey, syrup or fruit as an added yummy treat!

Let cool and serve

Ta Da!

Now my tummy is full & I am feeling happy & sleepy!

Molting and Munching Monday

Happy Monday Everyone!

It is me...

Jimmie!

I have not made an appearance on the blog lately so I asked R-Chee if I could pop in today to show you what I have been up to!

I am just over 4 months old now and have been busy leaving piles of feathers everywhere!

I am in the process of losing some of my baby feathers and growing in my adult plumage!

This is called molting and all birdies do it at some point every year.

It is very exciting as my new feathers are showing the true colors that I will turn out to be!

My head is coming in yellow and my tummy is getting a new range of blues & violets with a brighter hue about it!

I am also losing the striped feathers on the very tip of my head and they are filling in with a fluffier all yellow crown.

I also look more like an adult male instead of a baby boy now that my nare (skin on my nostrils) is blue instead of pinkish grey and my solid black eye now has a grey iris showing!

I am eating non-stop as I have to keep up my feather growing powers so that will bloom like a flower just in time for Spring!

Momma is putting extra egg conditioning food in with my meals to help me too!

Here is a FUN video she just made of me after my feast!

I am so full of strawberries, grains, peas and pasta that I got very sleepy and decided to take a nap on the edge of my bowl!

I think I will relax here for awhile and watch R-Chee while he prepares a yummy recipe that I can eat too!

He will share with us on Wednesday!

Mother Bear Sighting in Lesotho, South Africa! ~ The Sunbather Bear

Happy Friday everyone!

Thank you so much for all your love that you sent about the loss of our cousin corgi, Moe who we all loved dearly.

All of your messages mean so much to Mark and Melanie and you have all helped to begin the healing of their hearts.

We are truly so lucky to have all of you!

It has been frigidly cold here in Boulder, CO this week with below zero readings as our high temperature for the days!

R-Chee is a true snow bunny this week!

We just got some wonderful news that warmed our hearts from Amy at The Mother Bear Project!

Amy and her wonderful charity was recently featured in this article in The Huffington Post!

I am so excited for her!

I LOVE crocheting bears for her and have 3 more in the works that we will show you soon!

One of our bears ~ The Sunshine Bear that Archie & I made last June was spotted in Lesotho, South Africa with his new little boy!

We are so excited to see him being loved in his new home 1/2 way around the world!

It feels like a warm Summer day here to us with all of the love we have received from all of you and Amy at Mother Bear! :)
