I helped my mom crochet a new dog sweater vest!

After being inspired by Tweedles' Cotton Candy Sweater Vest, mom had the fun idea to make a Snow Cone Sweater Vest to match!

We use our daily planners and TO DO Lists to plan our days,
the weekly planners to see what is coming up each day in the week ahead,
and the monthly planners to see the big picture of the month ahead for classes and appointments and we also use the monthly planner to plan our blog topics to write about for the weeks ahead.

Having a place to write the ideas that pop into my head immediately frees space up for my head to make more ideas! :)

Crochet Baby Owl

Hoot Hoot!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I am so excited to show you Owen the baby owl I just crocheted!

My friend Lynne sent me the pattern to make one at the same time as she did.

Her owl lives in England and is enjoying some Earl Grey Tea as we speak!

I had so much fun using up my favorite bits and bobs of yarn that I knew I would need one day for the perfect small project.

I just cannot throw away any scrap pieces of yarn!

I organize them by color in little plastic containers so I know where to find them when the time is right.

Here is Lynne's fabulous owl!

I LOVE the orange eyes!

It always tickles me to see how one pattern can produce a different result for each artist just by using different colors and textures to bring them to life!

The air is getting crisper here each morning and evening and our neighbors are buzzing about the mountain lion spotted in our neigborhood this week!

Fall is coming and Fred, Archie and I have our daily walk schedule reset for the new rise and set of the sun.

Friday Funnies ~ STAY Archie STAY

Hi everyone!

It is me...

Archie!

I went to school this week and we learned the word STAY!

I think my pawrents planned this class perfectly because look at the storm

that chased us all the way to school!

We just got in the door when it started to pour down rain, hail, lightening and wind!

I think we all decided to STAY for awhile! :)

Here I am learning the word Stay for the first time.

My dad looked so serious when he said it, that I thought I would comfort him. :)

It just school dad, you don't have to be so grown up!

It is an online way to save, organize and share all of your favorite things!

Archie's Yarn Painting ~ The LOVE Pug

Hi everyone!

Archie and I are so excited to show you our newest yarn painting!

Archie is especially smiley today because I used this photo of him to "paint" with yarn!

I love making yarn paintings!

Anyone can make them with their favorite photos, some yarn, glue and scissors.

I have written a fun yarn painting tutorial for you to see all the tools and techniques I use to create mine.

Please feel free to use this as a jumping off point for your own fabulous creations!

There is no right or wrong! Only FUN!

Here is my photo of Archie with some hearts glued on a board and ready to fill in with yarn!

I started with some outlining to make sure the important lines are not lost in the process of filling it in. :)
