My Favorite Fall Photos

Happy Tuesday everyone!

My husband Fred has really been enjoying his new SLR camera and has had so much fun taking several photography workshops to learn how to use it.

I am so excited to show you these gorgeous shots he just took at Chautauqua Park in Boulder.

Look how cute they are!

You can see them above enjoying the US Open with their new fan section cheering behind them.

I love how Georgie fell asleep with the remote next to him!  Can you hear him snoring? :)

Melanie's First Crocheted Sweater!

Happy Thursday everyone!

I am so excited to show you Melanie's very first crocheted sweater!

She made this gorgeous granny square sweater!

I am so proud of her as she just learned to crochet less than 1 year ago and she did this from start to finish all by herself!

I just love every detail down to the clasp buttons she chose!

It could not have turned out more perfect if she tried!

Melanie promised to make me one too after she completes a new batch of sweater bears that she is making for a holiday craft fair we are going to be in on November 20th in Winter Park, CO!

I am so excited!

Are there any holiday craft shows in your part of the world that you are excited to go to?

Please leave us a comment and tell us all about them!

We cannot wait to hear!

Fused & Slump Glass Class

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Melanie and I just took another wonderful class through Boulder Valley Life Long Learning.

We tried something we have never done before!

We made coasters and a platter in a fused and slumped glass class.

It is a process very much like creating a mosaic where you use a special kind of fusable glass and put it in a kiln at very high temps to get the design to fuse and then slump or melt into the shape of the ceramic mold you place it in.

Here are Melanie's coasters before they were heated in the kiln.
... and here they are completed!

I love the wildflower designs she created!
I made all 4 of my coasters look similar and cut lots of different shaped glass and glued them down to fuse into a sea of color!

The second week we made our platters that also got slumped into a mold to make them curl instead of stay flat like the coasters.

Mel and I had so much fun making them and now we each have 5 little pieces of art that we just love!

We have signed up for another fiber art class in November at our favorite yarn shop.
I cannot wait to show you what we make!
Are you taking any classes this holiday season?
Please leave me a note and tell me all about them!
I cannot wait to hear!

Dog Sweater Vests ~ The Sushi Collection

Happy Monday everyone!

Emmitt is so excited that I have created another food inspired collection of Sweater Vests for everyone to enjoy!

It all started when I found this fabulous free pattern to make this delicious crocheted Sushi!

I had so much fun making them including the little mounds of ginger and wasabi that I had to create a new sweater vest collection immediately!

Can you see the balls of yarn flying out of my yarn cupboard as I was designing them?
So much fun! :)

The Sushi Collection:

California Roll
Cucumber Roll
Salmon Roll
Tuna Roll

California Roll

 Cucumber Roll

Salmon Roll

Tuna Roll

Tuna and Salmon Rolls

Cucumber & California Rolls

All of the sushi sweater vests are available in my etsy shop.

If you do not see the one you would like listed in the correct size for your dog, please just choose the custom listing for the size you would like and let me know the colors for the body / bobble / collar.

I will be happy to make you your very own sweater vest to enjoy.

Please feel free to email me anytime with any questions. :)

Your comments, photos and feedback mean so much to Emmitt & me.

Thank you so much for always playing with us!

Have a super day everyone!
