Crochet ~ Granny Square Sea Turtle

Happy Monday everyone!

I am so excited to show you the new sea turtle I just crocheted!

It has a FUN story on how it came to be...

This little guy actually started off as a whole different project!

I thought I would crochet a whole bunch of little granny squares and make a cover for my foot stool.

Well, my plans changed as soon as I discovered Planet June's Sea Turtle Pattern.

I quickly decided that my little squares could be uses to make the shell!

I just love how he turned out!

He is such a happy little guy!

... and the best news was that in my effort to make enough squares for my foot stool cover, I actually had enough squares to make 2 turtles!

So I made one for Melanie too!

Yay!
Another giftie to add to Melly's hat and slipper surprise. :)

Please tune in tomorrow & I will show you the 4th present I made for her gift bag!

How FUN!
