Needle Felted Cotton Pods!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I just finished such a FUN project!

I have had this neat green bowl that I found at Goodwill sitting empty next to my crocheted veggie tray for about a year now!

I just did not know what to put in it... so I left the space open.

Open for an idea ... open for an inspiration to come to me. :)

Finally!  I had an idea this weekend!

I was walking through a neat little shop at the mall and saw some decorative cotton pods displayed.

Of course, I went right over to them and touched them!

I turned over the price tag, and gently placed them back down. :)

They wanted like $1,000,000,000 for a string of 5 pods! :)

Tee hee!

Well, maybe it wasn't $1,000,000,000, but it was close! :)
Sticker shock quickly turned into excitement!

I thought to myself that this is what I want to make for my green bowl!

So I went to Tuesday Morning and found a $3 box of potpourri and 3 neat glass onions for $1 each. :)

I filled the bowl with some coffee to take up space, smell good and look kinda earthy. :)

Then I took out the pods and some wool roving to needle felt some "cotton fluff".

Ta Da!

That was a fast and FUN project!

I really like how it turned out!

What FUN things are you creating?

Please leave me a note and let me know!

I cannot wait to hear all about them!
