While staying in Carlsbad, Melanie and I just loved walking the beach every morning and evening.
It was the perfect way to start and end every day!

Heee! Doesn't he look like a movie star?One of our favorite things to do on the beach is to watch the little sandpipers run between the waves to look for their breakfast and dinners.
As you see here, I was so enchanted with the birdies, that I forgot about the waves!

There is nothing like a nice walk on the beach - so relaxing and peaceful!

Oh I love the beach!! Ocean beaches are the best, but my lake beach is pretty good. I love to walk to the lake and just hang out and watch the water and the people and the pups. Thanks so much for sharing this great adventure! Now I really want our weather to warm up a little bit so I can go enjoy the lake -- no sandpipers (which I love to watch, too) but plenty of seagulls!
