Tunisian Crochet - FUN Bunny Rabbit Doll

Happy Monday everyone!

Archie and I are so excited that Spring is coming!

It is March already and we can smell it in the crisp Colorado air!

Bunnies are romping everywhere we look!

R-Chee loves to chase them under the bushes so I thought I would make one that we could enjoy indoors too!

I made this wonderful little crocheted doll from my newly learned and & loved craft, Tunisian Crochet, which uses a long crochet hook that you work on and off of the needle just like knitting!

So far I have made a scarf, a pug doll for Archie, and a parrotlet doll for Melanie!

This little bunny is a gift for me! :)

He was so FUN to make!

I LOVED seeing him spring to life!

Like my other dolls, I did not have a pattern.

I just crocheted a long rectangle in a Tunisian Simple Stitch and then folded it over, sewed the sides, stuffed and shaped him a bit.

Then I free formed crocheted the ears, arms and legs & white bobble tail with my regular G hook and sewed them on with a yarn needle.

All of the yarn, pom-pom & button embellishments were pulled out of a stash of all my favorite wool yarns and vintage buttons that I have collected over the years. :)

Easter lands on March 31st this year!

Oooo look...

He is off to look for Easter Eggs!

How cute!

Tomorrow I will show you some new sweater vests that are inspired by wonderfully colorful dyed Easter eggs!

FUN!

Have a Super Day everyone!

See you tomorrow!
