Melanie's African Flower Afghan!

Happy Thursday everyone!

Oh my gosh!

I am sooo excited to show you Melanie's New African Flower Granny Afghan she just crocheted!

She made 108 hexagons with colors of her own design using both an African Flower Pattern and a Granny Hex pattern from Lion Brand Yarn for the white ones in between!

It is a new family heirloom for us to cherish just like my first afghan I made over 20 yeas ago!

She started the project this past Summer.

It took about 5 months to make all of her hexagons and to sew them all together into her finished work of art!

We got her a rainbow of colors of 100% fabulous wool yarn at Universal Yarn

and the natural Fisherman's Wool we purchased through Lion Brand!

After she finished all of the hexagons, she wove in all of the ends so they would not poke out or unravel over the years.

Then she began piecing and sewing them together!

Simply amazing!

A true work of art!

Ollie & Moe just LOVE how it turned out too!

WoW!

I get goosebumps just looking at it!

Great job Melly!

You have created a true heirloom that we will sit and crochet under together when we are 100! :)
