Happy Thursday!
I am so excited to be a part of this fabulously fun & creative Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner Blog Hop hosted by the incredibly talented celebrity design expert, author, national TV host, and syndicated columnist, Kathy Peterson.
For the next 2 Thursdays, ending February 3rd, 7 diverse designers will be making fun and easy projects for you to enjoy.
We will all be using the Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner to create 5 projects each from images of objects that are normally too large or awkward to scan on a conventional scanner.
Here is a review of what we have made so far...
Week 1: Make It Happen Mini Journals!
Today, for week 3, we will make ...
~Bookmarks~
To me... bookmarks are little smiles to keep you company while you read or hold your place until you are ready to return.
I love incorporating images that I surround my home with to create new things to enjoy.
The Flip-Pal mobile scanner is the perfect tool to do this!
I made the image for my bookmark by scanning one of my pug placemats that I created in tapestry from 4 of my pug paintings.
After scanning the image, I cropped it to 2" x 6" and printed it on cardstock.I cut the image out and placed it vertically into a sheet protector with one of the 3 punch holes from the sheet protector right at the top.
I then cut the sheet protector leaving about 1/4" to sew the edges closed on my sewing machine.
I sewed it closed along the right edge and bottom as the left side and top were already sealed from the construction of the sheet protector sleeve.
Half of my work was done before I even started. How fun is that? :)
Zoom!
Ta da!
The final touch was to tie a string of my favorite bobble yarn at the top for a tassel.
You could make your own tassel or pom pom with string, yarn, embroidery thread... whatever you like!
The possiblilites are endless!
The Flip-Pal mobile scanner makes it so easy to create fun and interesting images from your favorite quilts, dolls, rugs, photos, etc.
