Happy Monday everyone!
Look who joined the Pug Notes family this weekend?
Meet the newest Senior Pug asking Emmitt's favorite question... Is it time to eat yet?
This new painting is available on all of my products where you can choose the design.
I also created a note card set of my senior pugs in my Etsy Shop.
A note card set celebrating Senior Pugs!
Here is Emmitt asking if it "Is time to eat yet?", but my pug is simultaneously making a sound similar to the air being slowly let out of a balloon to create a little drama to the event. :)
So here is a question Fred and I would love to know the answer to... Do your doggies sing funny songs at meal time, or is it just Emmitt? He is such a ham!
kong squeals with excitement around food and drools like a mastif!
ReplyDeleteThe senior pug is wonderful Melissa! I love the background colors that you chose!
ReplyDeleteEmmitt is such a ham! Otis starts getting crazy with his ball right before I feed him!
I love this one, Melissa. I don't believe I've ever seen a Pug that wasn't willing to do ANYTHING for a bite of food. They do love their food! xoxo Diane
ReplyDeleteI wish I could sing like Emmitt. The sounds coming from my mouth would be more like whining for my food!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the senior pugs you do! Nothing like that gray little mug!
ReplyDeleteWhen Pearly is ready for dinner, she is VERY vocal. Mostly just stands at the pantry door where her food is and whines! She is such a goof ball, like Emmitt!
My dog isn't much of a talker, but the cats sure let you know when it's time to eat! Calvin, my oldest kitty, says "Meow" and you would swear it sounds like "Right Now"!
ReplyDeleteBailey sings/talks constantly, food or no food!
ReplyDeleteRicky barks and dances around.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, i love this painting! You are amazing girl! My senior dog Gipetto (maltese/poodle mix) sings soprano but only when it is time to go for a walk, OR when Mom tries to sing just like him! ;)
ReplyDeleteMeiby makes a ton of noise at feeding time. Sounds like she's being tortured. She also jumps up and down as high as she can like she's trying to get up on top of the counter. We still laugh every time :)
ReplyDeletehi melissa! ollie dances for his dinner. charlie will too but not as spontaneously. but charlie will scream and chatter like a little monkey when she sees her grandma. if we get close to grandma's house she will start up and you can really get her going. honey will growl and bark if the water bowl is empty. doggies are so much fun!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
puglette
:o)
Dear EmmyPants, this here is Anniebelly. You are so handsome, I like a gentlepug with a little gray hair in his muzzle, so distinguished! *bats eyelashes* I sing a little song for mama when she is cooking up my meals. Someday I will share it with you.
ReplyDeletehugs and kisses!
No songs here!
ReplyDeleteSometimes, I do yap at Mom to let her know I would like to be fed earlier than usual...but that is about it!
Tank woo fur sharing the nice pug pieces!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
Haha. It looks like you've captured Emmitt very well with your new piece.
ReplyDeleteOh sweetness! It looks like he is just gazing up at his owner, begging for a treat. Great painting Melissa.
ReplyDeleteI love your senior pugs!
ReplyDeleteGus paces.. Indy will either sit there and stare at me, occasionally whining or growling or else she hits her food bowl. :)
Thank you Mellisa!! It's so nice to have wonderful visitors. I want a baby pug and I forget what you call the dog with long ears and long body low to the ground. I love those too but I can't have one right now but I have a cat who I love soooooo much, he's sleeping right now!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pleading expression on the senior pug!!! We just sit and stare at Mom.
ReplyDeletewoos, the OP Pack
What a darling expression on this pug's face! Great painting, Melissa!
ReplyDeleteAnother winner, Melissa! What a face!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
My pugs not only "sing" for their supper, but the younger one dances. Today's variation was a kind of hip-hop - with emphasis on the hop! Jake was moved to actually bark - a rare moment of excitement.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I would call what Clementine does at dinner time a "song"....but it's noise, that's for sure. I should video it some time...it's really atrocious, and I'm kind of embarrassed of it, but maybe...
ReplyDeleteLucky starts barking for dinner when dad gets home. If dad gets home at 4:00 pm, then it's a long time til dinner (5:15 pm)> If dad puts her in his lap she won't bark, but she does jump out if he shifts his position.
ReplyDeleteRoxy
I would like to hear Emmitt.... hear this sound of air being let out of a balloon ... ha ha .
ReplyDeletevery funny !
My cats just STARE !
It's almost an audible STARE
[ if that makes sense ]
Hi Melissa
ReplyDeleteThe senior pug expression is adorable. What a wonderful idea. I twirl in circles- I do not stop until the food lands in my dish, and the whole time i am bark, bark , barking. (i am told by moms it is a bad habbit, and not sure how it happened, but I can't stop.
Little Emmitt looks like he approves of your new painting,
love
tweedles
oh wow Melissa....lovely work as always...love the bright background!!!

Hehe - here's and old post with a video of Bajas voicing his opinion of my slow food delivery. http://wrigglebutts.blogspot.com/2007/11/feeding-frenzy.html
ReplyDeleteLuckily for me it's reserved for raw foods, and right now I don't have the storage space. (good for my hearing, but not so good for the pug of course)
Ane
