Doodle Design Week 4

In week 4, our doodles were to incorporate fabric collage elements.

I had a lot of fun doodling on stiff felt like fabric and tracing my designs with my sewing machine. I had never done that before and had great fun with it. Then I sewed on the fabric pieces and sayings I cut out of fabric scraps I had in my stash.

The bubbles say "scratch and sniff" and "Woooof... Who is at the door?"

I also added a fabric yoyo heart that Melanie made for me. I really like how it turned out.

Here is the back

and here is the final piece hanging in my sewing room.

I really enjoyed this class!

I know I will be making more doodles on fabric soon!
