Fabric on wood
I have to tell you about this amazing artist I found on Etsy. Her Name is Shellie Mitchell and she creates fabric on wood collages!
Her shop is called Shellieartist and she creates everything from abstracts to nature and still lifes.
Her process is her unique invention...
"Fabric on Wood Process- Each cut out piece of fabric is placed on the wood with a rice based starch and then polyurathaned several times. Some pieces are touched up with acrylic or oil paint, gel pens, oil pencils or anything I can get my hands on that I think will do the job."
You can find originals as well as prints in many sizes. They are the perfect gifts.
I treated myself to the grapefruit piece above and purchased the following 3 as gifts.
