Friday Fun! - Emmitt's House Journal

I made another journal this week in the shape of a house. I made it into a house for Emmitt for our favorite family photos. I may even write a story or two of our fun adventures together. :)

I love how you can keep changing the look of these journals by the shape and fabrics you choose. This is the trifold structure from week one with the corners snipped off into the shape of a roof.

I am excited to see what week 4 has for us! I will probably be starting it this weekend.

What fun things do you have planned for the weekend? I would love to hear all about it! :)

  2. I can't wait to start my class! Melissa I have a little question. Is it a good idea to look for the supplies in local stores (i.e. Michaels) or just get them online? thanks!

  13. That is an awesome journal. Mom is going to finish sanding the last two ceiling sheets of sheet rock, and then paint the ceiling and the rest of the walls. Fun, huh?

  15. Great journal! Love the shape. Melissa you amaze me ... always something new going on. Manon & I talked last night and your name came up ... we both laughed out loud in awe and total admiration about your unending energy! We wondered if maybe you might be a Starbucks junkie? Not only do you have time for unlimited art projects, but visiting pups and apple sauce too. You have a very well rounded life ... very inspirational. Keep up the fun and creativity.

  17. Hey Melissa,

I love, love love little Emmitt's House Journal. I think that is my favorite of all the ones you've done so far.

Whenever I don't visit for a few days, I feel like I miss so much. I love your sister Melanie's journal from the below post as well, they are both awesome, yours and hers.

  18. I love these! So...the book is made of fabric...are the picture regularly pictures or are they printed onto fabric too? Where are you taking this class? You always do such wonderful creative things!

We went shopping today - yay! I love to shop and tonight we're going to the movies. Tomorrow we're taking the puggies to a local cemetery. I know it sounds kind of morbid but it's actually a beautiful park and an historic site.

    Have a great weekend!
