My twin sister, Melanie, makes the most fabulous teddy bears!
She has just completed this 100% merino wool felted bear. He is 6" sitting, fully jointed and has glass eyes.
He is now available in her Etsy store.
My sister is such an inspiration to me!
I am so excited because she is going to go to art camp at Anderson Ranch this year. We will be there for a week, July 28-Aug 1, learning book binding techniques in a class called Wooden Books.
I cannot wait!
YUMMY! Those glass eyes look delicious! (I eat the eyes out of all my toys!)
ReplyDeleteGood job to Emmitt for mastering LOLDogz Speak! Mommy has a hard time with it...she said she usually goes out of her way NOT to sound like that, so it's a big challenge! I know Emmitt is really a genius, so maybe he used the BabelFish translator?
Have a great day!
Love and kisses,
S-Dog
Those are such cute bears Melissa! You and your sister are both very talented. Please hug emmypants for me!

That bear is so charming. I love the detail in it, simply yet sweet! Talent certainly runs in the family!
ReplyDeleteLove that! Great job, Melanie!
ReplyDeleteAnd Melissa...that picture of Albert was just the best. What better advertising than seeing that cute puggie face in your bag!
Hooray! LOOVE the teddy! How are you? I miss blogging! I hope to get crazy caught up on it during my vacation. (((Hugz)))
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the inspiration and creative fun that you provide. Check out my site, I have selected you for a blog award.
ReplyDeleteCute Bear! Nice sister relationship. Good for you both!
ReplyDeleteWonderful bear, Melanie! If it's purple, I love it. You two are so cute together. What a great photo. And Albert - ADORABLE!!!
ReplyDeleteThe teddy bear is adorable. Your sister did a most excellent job on it. Mom says isn't it fun to have a creative sister who "gets" you?

PS one of the ladies at the fabric store told mom (after seeing the asian quilt, which is much prettier in real life) that mom put together fabric "pretty well". Auntie puts fabric together very well. Auntie wasn't very happy with her.
Love the bear! You girls look like twins!! Lots of talent in your family!!
ReplyDeleteYour family sure is talented -- that teddy bear looks so professional. I wanted Mommy to get me a stuffed animal like that, but she said that I would chew the eyes out and probably swallow them.
ReplyDeleteYou and your sister are so talented! My mom wishes that her twin sister would do fun art things with her, but she isn't that into it. And my mom just isn't good at it...
ReplyDeleteSuper cute teddy bear - the handmade ones are always the cutest!
Love Clover xo
We tagged you for a meme. Come and see!
