Look Ma, No Clumps!

Emmitt is a very soft and well... clumpy pug at times. He sheds constantly, but sometimes it comes out in clumps and when you pull out one clump, another one takes it place and he looks, sorry Emmitt... terrible. Well no longer! Emmitt has been Furminated. :)

Yesterday was a very hot day here in Colorado, reaching almost 100 degrees. Here is Fred enjoying some lemonade before calling Emmitt out to be declumped.

Here comes the innocent pug, hoping for a treat...

I was so proud of Emmitt. He sat so nicely while he was brushed which sometimes is not the case. We got all the undercoat off and now He is beautiful!

"Ooo I feel so light and free."

"Come on, Let's go and get me a treat for being such a good Pug!"

"Yummy, Yummy, Yummy!"

Happy Monday everyone!

  1. Awww, he does look so proud of his newly styled coat. And I am sure it felt even better to shed some fur on such a hot day. Thanks for sharing and happy Monday right back.

  2. OOoo, don't you love the Furminator?! We have one, and I often feel I could brush the pugs for days and still get hair off. Glad Emmitt is clump-free and feeling lighter!

  4. Hey Melissa, I bet Emmitt feels better too. I have to brush my guys every day and let me tell ya, sometimes it is a pain. I take them to the groomer once a month since they have long hair and one of the things he does is remove their undercoats..I think it makes them happier (lighter anyway ) and it certainly makes them easier for me to brush. Stay cool in your heat...it is hot and icky here too.

  5. What good Emmy Sans ClumpyPants. He is just so handsome and looks light as air now. I hope you ran inside post haste and gave him something absolutely delicious for all that hard work he did. Howard sits pretty for his furminations, because he knows there is always a cookie involved at the end...

  8. Emmitt is such a cute puggy! His coat hair looks long! Mine is really short so, luckily for my parents, it doesn't clump at all. I actually only need to be brushed maybe once a month.

You do realize that pugs only shed twice a year, 6 months at a time! ;-). I just saw Emmit singing to the pink pig. My son made me play it 3 times! LOL! Thanks for the hoot!

  14. Hee hee. Emmitt is so much fun. Furminator? I thought Pono was the only dog who hated to be brushed. I haven't tried a Furminator on him.

  21. hahaha, such a nice post!
My doggies don't like to be combed either and after brushing or just cleaning their eyes or whatever they also think they have deserved a treat and dance on their behind legs to tell me to get cookies.
    Emmitt looks great after declumping.
