I started a new altered book and have had a lot of fun with it this week. I have done the backgrounds with acrylic paints or pretty papers that I have glued down. I then filled the pages with photos of my recent projects, cut out of things I like in magazines, original drawings and carvings and photographs. I have also had fun sewing pages together with thread, beads, buttons and ribbons to create pockets and built in structure to the book.
I just bought some pug pendants and beads on etsy created by other artists to add as 3-d objects. I will share them with you as I add new pages. I love altered books because it is a great way to journal and give a beautiful book new life.

Awesome stuff, Melissa! I think I'm going to do some papercrafting tonight while my fiance watches WWE on pay-per view. Its not exactly brain surgery, so I like to do something while it's on in the background. Besides, I can only imagine what sort of things I'll come up while drinking some beer! :P
