It is my birthday week!

I turn 3 on Wed., Jan 29th, but my momma loves me sooooo much that we are celebrating all week!

You are all invited to my party!

She even has 3 birthday cakes for us to celebrate with!

We can have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday since she made more than these 3 since she knew you would all be coming too!

Friday Funnies ~ All Suited Up & Ready for the Super Bowl!

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am so excited for the Super Bowl that I am practicing my moves on the field all weekend to get in shape for Feb 2nd!

Phew!

This training thing is hard work!

Oooooo!

I think I hear the dinner bell ringing!

Time to come in and eat dinner and watch some TV!

I am not supposed to watch too much TV but I am watching for FUN Super Bowl commercials to start playing like this one that our friends from VA sent us!

He is wearing a Woofie Warmer neck warmer!

My momma did not make this one for them, but it looks like they were inspired by her original dog sweater vest and Woofie Warmer designs to create this one for the ad!

What a huge compliment if this is true!

How cool is that? :)

I have made enough food to feed a stadium full of fuzzy fans!

A few friends have already arrived!

We are all suited up and ready to relax, ummm... I mean train!

1.  Workout out our faces by eating everything we can as fast as we can :)

2.  Grab a cozy Pug Notes sweater vest , neck warmer or  dog hat and curl up to enjoy the Pro Bowl just for practice for the big day!

New Hooks & Hideaways!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am so excited to show you two new things I treated myself to this week!

One is for making art and the second is for enjoying and celebrating it!

My 2 favorite things to do! :)

I just purchased a set of these wonderful Japanese Hamanaka crochet hooks from www.stitchdiva.com. 

I love the double ended design and feel of the hooks in my hand.

It makes them great for travel as well as efficient storage as you get 10 sizes to work with in only 5 hooks!

I have found over the years that it is really important to work with a hook personally before deciding if you really like them as we all have different sized hands and preferences for hook shape, weight and feel!

For me, I found these to be unique because they provide a comfort grip that I have never found in a hook that was not too big to comfortably fit in my hand.

There are 5 double-ended hooks (a total of 10 hooks of graduated sizes) from Japanese sizes 2/0 to 10/0 or 2.0mm to 6.0mm.

• 2/0 - 2.0mm
• 3/0 - 2.3mm
• 4/0 - 2.5mm
• 5/0 - 3.0mm
• 6/0 - 3.5mm (F)
• 7/0 - 4.0mm (G)
• 7.5/0 - 4.5mm
• 8/0 - 5.0mm (H)
• 9/0 - 5.5mm (I)
• 10/0 - 6.0mm (J)

The second gift I gave myself was the purchase of this magical painting my dear friend Mehry Khosravi just completed.

I knew I must have it the second I saw it and luckily for me, it was still available.

She is trying to create a series of these smaller paintings to fill up a wall but they keep selling before the paint even dries!

This one is still too wet to touch, but she will let me know the second I can come and pick it up!

I cannot wait!

I know just where I am going to hang it!

It is going to hang in my kitchen where I will see it all day long!

What a fabulous week we have had so far and it is not even 1/2 over yet!

I cannot wait to see what else unfolds for us to appreciate!

Friday Funnies ~ Pugs & Pachyderms!

Happy Friday Everyone!

What a FUN week we had looking at all of my Dad's photos from his photography trek to Thailand!

I asked him what was his favorite animal that he saw there?!

He thought it was so neat not to wake up to the sounds of roosters like we can sometimes here in the summer time from neighbors' backyard chicken coops, but instead by the calling of elephants and the sound of stomping through the jungle paths!

He said it was amazing how sometimes you could hear them but not even see them emerge from the brush!

How can that be I asked?

They are soooo BIG!

He said that they must use their long trunks to smell which way to go to make a grand entrance with their big toes!

I quickly looked at my pug toes and decided they are too dainty to make a grand entrance but that they can move me fast in the mornings right to my food bowl!

Momma said I sound like a herd of elephants coming down the stairs every morning racing for my meal so that I must be part elephant too! :)

I like that!

... and I think the elephants must be part pug too!

Look at their smiles!

 It makes me happy just looking at them and that what pugs are best at too!

Spreading joy by just being themselves!
