Friday Funnies ~ Flat or FAT Archie?

Happy Friday everyone!

It is me...
R-Chee :)

We are enjoying wonderful Springy weather in Colorado!

70+ degrees and SUNNY!

My momma always takes me on walks around our neighborhood, but now that it is warm outside, I am getting to see lots of my neighbors that I have not seen all Winter!

I was just asking Marvin my monkey what it means when they ALL do this...

Picture someone stop, point at me, make their eyes open WIDE and hold there hands to the mouths while they laugh and say...

Is that Archie?

He is HUGE!

Marvin just told me that that means they think I am FAT.

I'm a pug!

I'm not FAT!

I'm just right!

What?  Do they want me to look like this poor fellow?

I bet he did not get a raspberry cheesycake for his birthday!

My momma says they do not think I am fat, they just think I have grown up from teeny weeny to regular pug size.

She says I am just right and perfect just the way I am!

I like how that sounds better than what Marvin said for sure... especially if that means I can still have my raspberry cheesycake on my birthday every year!

What do you think?

Is mean Marvin right?

I am I too round?

or

Just Right?

I think Marvin is just jealous that he did not get a slice that day.  I think I will go and bake him a cake!

Crochet Succulents ~ Fiber Comes to Life!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am sooo excited to show you the Succulent Plants I just crocheted!

The brillant patterns are from Planet June and they are a delight to make!

I cannot believe how life-like they are!

I used my favorite Amazing Yarn from Lion Brand and my "coffee and rocks" planters I made for my moss terriarums to plant them in!

The plants look so real I have picked them up twice already to water them when I water my real plants.  Tee Hee. :)

I am so excited about them that I may never buy a real plant again!

June is a true master at crochet, design and pattern writing!

If you have not visited her website, etsy shop or blog yet... Please do!

You will be delighted, inspired and so happy you did!

I have made several pots up already and have about 6 empty ones lined up to fill next!

I adore seeing them spring to life!

I will show them to you as soon as they are complete.

Here are the ones I have already done...

Archie is so happy that I am crocheting all of my plants now because soon he will not have to "help me" every Sunday morning when I gather up my living plants to water.

He would much rather that I stand still for a minute so that he could lay at my feet without having to follow me back and forth from room to room! :)

Silly puggy!

Doesn't he know by now that I am always moving from room to room? :)

What FUN things are you doing today?

Please leave us a note and let us know!

We cannot wait to hear all about your day!

Archie Comes out of his Shell

Happy Monday everyone!

It is me...
Archie!

Last Monday I got to introduce you to my new Walrus friend, Whiskers!

He is a shy and quiet little guy and needs a slower friend than me to keep him company during the day while I am outside eating rabbit poop , um I mean... playing. :)

So my momma pulled out her crochet hook and Voila...

I am so excited to introduce you to another new friend!

Meet...
Seth the Snail!

Isn't he cute?

My momma created him from another wonderful pattern she got from the same artist that she found the pattern for Whiskers the Walrus!

My momma loved making him!

The shell was so fun to make and she is really impressed with how realistic it turned out!

Here it is from all different angles before Seth moved in!

He is very happy in his new home!

Lucky for me, Seth just met another new friend, my birthday Slug, Simon!

They enjoy long slow discussions when Whiskers is napping. :)

That is good news since they tend to tattle on me to my pawrents on my daily rabbit poop patrol , um... playtime activities.

I can have my fun while they have theirs and no one is the wiser!

Ha! Ha!

What do you have planned for today?

Please leave me a note and let me know!

I cannot wait to hear all about it!

Friday Funnies ~ Archie's Weather Report

Happy Friday everyone!

It is me...

R-Chee!

This weekend marks and exciting event!

Exactly one year ago, my pawrents were jumping with glee because they were packing up the car to take a beautiful drive into the mountains across Colorado to the Western Slope to come and get me!

You can meet my wonderful breeder Kimberly here and see all the happiness she creates with every puppy she lovingly brings into the world.

*** Celebration! ***

This is my Gotcha Weekend! :)

What a magical year this has been!

I am so lucky to have all of you!

My corgi cousin Moe is going to be celebrating up in the mountains this weekend!

He promised to make some snowmen and dig tunnels for me to play in!

I wonder what I can build in my backyard for him to play in.

Let's go outside and see!

Whew!

It is warm down here in Boulder!

I am looking for some shade while...

Moe is stylin' in his winter gear!

How is this possible?

He is only 2 hours West and about 5000 ft higher in elevation than me right now.

Hmmmmm....

Maybe the snow is coming across the Rockies as we speak!

I had better go and check the weather report!

I do not know if I should stock up on sunscreen or Woofie Warmers!

I guess both would be a bad idea!

Tee Hee!

What are you up to this weekend?

Please leave me note and let me know!

OOOOOoooooo!

Dad just said we are going to celebrate my gotcha weekend and the sunny Spring weather with BBQ Party!

Yipppeeee!

He is lighting the grill!

Yummy!

The dinner bell is ringing!

You are all invited!

Grab a fork & a spoon!

The Party has started!

Let's EAT!

Creative Looms ~ Weaving on Cds ~ DIY

Happy Thursday everyone!

I have been having so much fun using up scraps of yarn from my stash and upcycling old cd's at the same time this week!

My wonderful weaving journey all began the other night right before bed...

I love ending my day with wonderful images so I was floating through the fabulous art and tutorials on Pinterest and came across this tutorial on how to turn cd's into tiny round looms and make magical round weavings on them!

I immediately repinned the project onto my Pinterest board and dreamt about them all night. :)

As soon as I woke up, I followed the link to the tutorial and created 2 fabulous weavings in just a few hours.

The project is perfect for young children as well as adults.

I love that the tutorial is written in a way that can modified for the complexity you are seeking.

The time flew by as these are soooooo much fun to create!

I chose cotton yarn to wrap my cd loom 37x around instead of 13 or 25x that was described for younger weavers.

I also decided to use a yarn needle instead of making one and the only knots I tied were on the back to start.

To avoid creating knots on the front when changing colors, I decided to just leave longer tails when ending and starting the new yarns and weave the ends in at the end to make them invisible and secure.

This is what the back looks like after wrapping your loom.

I glued magents on the back of mine when I was done and hung them on the refridgerator. :)

I think they look like Spring Flowers!

You could make a whole series of them and change the personality by the colors that you choose.

I am going to make another series that is more contemporary and hang them on the wall in a grouping.

They are so light weight that you can easily hang them anywhere or even glue felt or cork on the back and make them into coasters!

The possiblilites for designs are endless and exciting!

Weeeeee!

What FUN!

What fun things have you discovered on Pinterest?

Please leave me a note and let me know.

I would love to follow you!

Toasty Tuesday ~ Meet Maisie

Happy Toasty Tuesday everyone!

Archie and I are so excited to introduce you to our friend Maisie.

She and her mom, Linda, are dear friends of ours and live just a few miles away from us!

They create gorgeous art and not only have a fabulous blog, etsy store and website, but also show their art in many Denver galleries.

Maisie is modeling The Betty Woofie Warmer for us today!

Doesn't she look wonderful?

It made us smile from ear to ear when we heard that Maisie brings Linda the Woofie Warmer to put on her before they go on their walks!

Linda loves how easy it is to put on and take off and that Maisie is truly free and comfortable in it!

Here is a short film Linda captured for us to enjoy!

Archie Meets Whiskers the Walrus

Happy Monday everyone!

It is me...

Archie!

I want to introduce you to my new fuzzy faced friend!

Meet Whiskers the Walrus!

Isn't he cute?

He reminds me of the Lorax!

My momma just made him from a wonderful pattern from a whimsical crochet shop she found on Etsy!

As you would imagine, he has a deep, gruff voice.

He speaks with a bit of a lisp because of his long tusks and bushy whiskers getting in the way of his mouth so Whiskers often... whispers.

He has lots of wonderful stories about the ocean that he share with me.

I think he misses some of his friends so my momma promised to make him some!

Isn't that exciting?

Whiskers is very excited!

Can't you tell?

Just look at his eyebrows!

They are wiggling up and down with glee!

We will introduce you to each friend as they arrive!

i cannot wait to meet all of them!

Can you guess what they will be?

Please leave me a note and let me know so I can fill the fridge with their favorite foods!

I hope sea creatures like pizza because that is my favorite kind of party!
