Yarn Painting - Pug Love

Hi everyone!

I just finished making another yarn painting using a photo of Emmitt this time as my subject!

First, I glued the photo of Emmitt to the wood board.


Then I started filling in the features piece by piece.

I love how it turned out.

He looks a bit like a cute curmudgeon to me!

He wants to give you a big hug!

This image is now available as both a signed print and note cards in my Etsy shop. :)

I will have another yarn painting to show you soon!

Splish Splash ~ Moe gets a Surprise!

Hi everyone!

It is me... Moe

(Emmitt's Corgi Cousin)

Emmitt asked me to guest blog today to tell you about my weekend!

My forest fairy friends played a trick on me!

I visited them on Sunday afternoon, and they told me that there was a special suprise waiting for me at home.

I got so excited that I bounced all the way home through the forest to find...



a brand new bathub filled with bubbles waiting for me!


Oh my! It even has a seatbelt in it so I cannot pop out!


and to complete my spa day...

I even got a pedicure!

Please excuse me while I give some giggling little forest fairies a piece of my mind! :)

Karen lives in Guam and drives her Rav4 with two of our pillows everyday!

... and Nancy from TX got this pillow for her studio.

She told us that Howie started talking to him as soon as she took him out of the box.

Howie denied it, but his sister AnnieBelly sent us this movie to prove it ...

*Lights darken, the red velvet curtain slowly lifts, dramatic music begins... Emmitt reachs for more popcorn as his eyes widen and his pug toes curl...*

I think AnnieBelly is a fabulous director and captured Howie's most handsomest side in his oscar winning performance!

Karen and Nancy are fabulous artists and I just love collecting their pug dolls and paintings!

The DFW Pug Rescue 2011 Calendar Contest Results are in!

Hi everyone!

The results are in for the 2011 DFW Calendar Contest!

I am so excited to tell you that although I did not get to be a "month" pin up, many of our friends won and are going to be the pin up puggies for 2011.

Stubby was Here!

Hi everyone!

Oh my gosh!

Look who was here!

Yes, this is our pal Stubby!!!

We are so excited that Stubby, Michele and Gerry came to visit us on their way from Chicago to California!

Look how cute Stubby is!

He was smiling from the second they came to the door!

Here I am welcoming him to our home!

It was such a nice day that I took them out to play in the backyard...

Where I kissed Gerry when he least expected it!

and sang to Michele!

while my mom played with Stubby!

What a fabulous day we had!

My Mom even made Stubby both pink frosted and jelly donuts!

It was the crocheted kind with extra fiber...

"Yummy Fiber!"

Thank you Stubby, Michele and Gerry for coming to see us!

We did not want you to leave!

I tried everything I could to get them to stay.

Here I am showing them both our front door and how to enter through the garage too to come back whenever they want!

We are so excited to follow Stubby's adventures across the country!
