Yay! It is almost Halloween! I cannot wait to see everyone in their costumes!
Personally, I love all of the "Pity" treats I get while dressed up. I plan on playing it up big this year!
I thought it would be a fun today to introduce some of our new friends to you!
Sabra and her pack of 7 pugs are our wonderful friends who run Pug Manor!
Meet our friend Dawn! She is a talented artist and Pug Lover!
You can even choose their outfits!
You will love what you see!
Happy Halloween to everyone!
Be scary and safe!!!!

I am so excited to show you the new wool blanket bear line that Melanie has created and just released in her Etsy Shop!
Each one is handmade by Melanie and has its own personality! The eyes are needle-felted wool and the noses and mouths are embroidered with wool thread.
The blankets were provided by Routt County Woolens of Steamboat Springs, CO.

Thank you so much for the wonderful birthday wishes yesterday! It really made the day extra fun! :)
As an early celebration, Melanie and I took a basket weaving class this past Sunday, and it was so much fun!
We started making our yarn baskets and are probably about 1/2 way done.
I am looking forward to this Saturday morning when we get together again and finish them.
Here is Melanie working on her basket.
This is my basket so far...
and this is Melanie's...

After each one is done, I think "How cool ~ I love that one!" and ... "Ooo that would make a great teddy bear, or sweater or painting or rug for my kitchen."
How exciting is that?!

I love the 3-D effect of the bobble and the wonderfully written pattern that is easy to follow and has wonderful smooth transitions between the shapes.
I am making them for the Knit-A-Square charity for the October theme of using up our scrap yarn.
